Keep doors and windows closed while the air-conditioning is running. A setting of 23–25°C is comfortable and efficient.
Switch off lights and AC when heading out.Use the arrival instructions in your Airbnb or Booking.com message. If plans change, message your host through the same booking thread so the update is easy to track. Apartment keys will be inside the lockbox by the door.
Fresh water is precious on Majuro. Use it thoughtfully, and drink bottled or properly filtered water unless your host confirms another safe source. Brief utility interruptions can happen; contact your host if service does not return.
Shake sand off outdoors, keep wet items off furniture, and do not leave food outside. Please keep the deck and shoreline free of litter.
Confirm your checkout time in the booking. Before leaving, switch off lights and AC, gather personal items, lock the door, leave the keys in the lockbox, and message the host once you have departed.

Know before you go
Wear reef shoes, check the tide and weather, and avoid standing on living coral. Currents can change quickly; ask locally before swimming somewhere unfamiliar.
A friendly “Iakwe” goes a long way. Dress modestly away from the beach, ask before photographing people, and seek permission before entering private land or using a local shoreline.
The US dollar is used. Cash is useful for taxis and small shops, while card acceptance varies. There are only three ATMs on Majuro, located at K&K Delap, Payless Supermarket and Ace Hardware. Keep smaller notes available and confirm access before making a special trip.
Drink bottled or properly filtered water unless your host confirms otherwise. Carry sun protection and a refillable bottle, conserve fresh water, and keep plastics away from the lagoon and ocean.
